Strong Leadership for Tough Times
Dear Neighbors:
Greetings! With the dedicated support of loyal Union City voters, I was elected to three consecutive terms on the Union City
Council, each time as the highest vote getter.
In these tough times, Union City needs a strong Mayor who can roll up her sleeves and get things done. I am that person.
I am the current Chair of the Union City Economic Development Advisory Team (EDAT), Chair of the Union City Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and incoming President of the Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation. This has been my family’s home town for three generations, and I care deeply about everything that affects Union City.
As Chair of the Union City EDAT, I am working hard to make Union City the hub for emerging technologies such as clean & green, life sciences and software development. I will also continue to drive the vision of a transit-oriented business area and creation of a walkable residential community around our BART Station District. In addition to creating safer neighborhoods, my priorities include: good jobs, affordable housing, excellent schools, public transit, and quality parks and libraries.
As the State of California's economic uncertainty continues, it is vital that we work to protect Union City - for our children, grandchildren and for our local quality of life.
